The notebooks for EWIC 2018 are special!<\/h2>\n

A kindergarten school was involved in a project called \u201cmeeting people\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The teachers explained to their children that when different people meet together their minds meet as well and that sometimes people meet specifically for talking about what happens \u201cinside our head\u201d and how our mind works and functions. Teachers also showed them our EWIC website and explained that in June people coming from different parts of the world are going to meet each other in Padova to share new ideas about our \u201chead and mind\u201d. They all decided to draw what there is \u00a0inside one\u2019s own \u201chead\u201d using the EWIC 2018 logo.<\/p>\n

Nineteen children aged \u00a0from 5 to 6 were involved in the activity and realized over 100 original drawings (\u201cheads\u201d). They also gave \u00a0a description of their own work. All the descriptions were written down by the teachers and successively \u00a0translated into English. Every child freely made as many drawings as she wanted (some drew more than 10 heads!) and described their beliefs.<\/p>\n

Each drawing was turned into a cover of EWIC 2018 notebooks.<\/p>\n

Here the first 19 drawings and the corresponding descriptions.<\/p>\n

We are very grateful to all the children and the teachers of \u201cSS Redendore\u201d school (Vicenza, Italy) for the wonderful experience!<\/p>\n

Io ho fatto I nervi che ci sono dentro al cervello, secondo me. Quello in centro \u00e8 un nervo grande. Verde come l\u2019erba. Rosa come una faccia. Viola come un fiore. Arancione come un colore. Rosso come la bocca. Azzurro come il cielo. Giallo come il sole. Arancione chiaro come un colore a tempera.

I did the nerves that are in the brain, in my opinion. The one in the center is a big nerve. Green as grass. Pink as a face. Purple as a flower. Orange as a color. Red as the mouth. Light blue as the sky. Yellow as the sun. Light orange as paint.

Arancione come il fuoco. Azzurro come le nuvole. Viola come i vestiti dei bambini. Rosso \u00e8 il sangue. Il giallo come la luna. Verde come l\u2019erba. Blu come il cielo. Marrone \u00e8 la faccia dei bambini marocchini. In centro sono i nervi verdi e il nero penso \u00e8 dentro la nostra testa.

Dovevano fare tanta strada. Arrivano con la moto.

This is the water, in the center. Then there is the pink of the flowers, the germs are brown, purple the chamomile, pink the clothes, red the poppies and the heart.

Nel cervello secondo me ci sono dei cerchi e delle frecce per farlo funzionare. Quando si muovono insieme arrivano le idee!

Le linee colorate servono per immaginare le cose di quando saremo grandi. La parte bianca per vedere quello che vogliamo. Il pallino bianco \u00e8 un \u201cgermo\u201d cattivo che vuole mangiare il cervello, ma quelli marroni non gli piacciono, e i germi sono sempre di pi\u00f9, ma poi arrivano quelli per far morire i germi.

The colored lines are used to imagine things about when we will become adults. The white part is to see what we want. The little spot is a bad \u201cgermo\u201d that wants to eat the brain, but it does not like the brown ones, and germs are always more, but then those that make them die come.

\nDentro ci sono le frecce che vanno su tutto il cervello ma non mi viene in mente a cosa servono.
